...If there are still public entries below this entry, that means I'm still in the process of turning all my past public entries into friends-only entries, though. XDDD;;
If you want to be friends, just comment saying where we know each other from... or heck, even if I don't know you, just tell me a bit about yourself! :3
Later that day when I saw Maggie again as we were both walking to our last class, she told me she had found three pretzels stuck in her hair during her class after lunch.. XDDDDD

I SURVIVED VARSITY MARCHING BAND CAMP, HECK YEEEESSSSHHHH! *pumps fist into teh air* 8D
I pretty much talked about the overall toughness of marching band camp in my previous entry on Wednesday, though. Again, it's really hard work, but parts of it were also superultramega fun. ^^ I am SO glad I'm in teh clarinet section. XDDD <3 I found out that my section is like a family. They do so many things together. And I also found out that the clarinet section at this highschool has won best section award for seven straight years!! :'DDD
On Thursday immediately after camp, almost of us in teh clarinet section (the two sophomores couldn't come), including me and the two only other freshman varsity band clarinetists, and a few extra peeps who weren't in our section, all went to Sarah's (a junior clarinetist) house for a pool party! 8D My parents were a little concerned that I was out partying with a bunch of juniors and seniors I had only known for about two weeks, but ah well... they didn't have to be. They've been so nice to us freshmen. ^^
When I went into Sarah's bathroom to change into my swimsuit... haha, well, I always wear a cami underneath whatever shirt I'm wearing, and I knew I was really sweaty from marching band camp, but... wowzers. When I took my shirt off, my green cami underneath was SOAKING WET. With SWEAT. There were hardly any dry spots at all. That's SO GROSS! XDDDDDDDDDDD (But I'm not ashamed to tell anybody who reads this anyways, since you'll all my friends. XDDD ^^)
Sarah's pool was so nice, even nicer than the one at the other pool party I went to about two weeks ago or so! o.o;; <3 We all played tons of games. ^^ First we played Marco Polo, and I was the only one who actually WANTED to be "it" (to shout "Marco!") during the first game, so I was able to do it... yayness! XD Sometimes it was hard for me to shout "MARCO!" 'cause I was laughing so hard. XDDDDDDD It took me a really long time, but somehow I managed to finally tag someone, and the game continued on. BY THE WAY... why does every single Marco Polo game I play end up with just everybody eventually screaming "POLO! POOOLLLOOOO POLO POLOOOO!! :D" the whole time without waiting first? (I'm guilty of doing it too.) XDDDDDDDDDDDD Then after that we set up the net and played a game of volleyball inside the pool. Volleyball is one of the sports I absolutely suck at the most, (it's high on the list along with badminton and tennis and golf) but I managed to have a fun time with everybody anyways. XDD <3 And then after that we played something I hadn't played before called Two 500s or something like that... basically, one person would stand farther away from everybody else with their back towards them, holding a ball, and they'd call out a number no higher than 500 (they were usually in intervals of 50s and 100s), and whether it was "dead" or "alive" or both, or they could do a "mystery box" and only announce what it was after the ball was retrieved. It could also be a "bomb", which would bring your points down to 0. Then after they announced it, they through the ball backwards over their head towards everybody, and you'd try and catch it. If it was "alive", the ball had to be caught in the air... it didn't count if it touched the water at all. If it was "dead", it HAD to touch the water at least once. Or it could be both, in which it didn't matter. You got the point total announced if you were the one who got the ball. The first person to reach 500 points got to be the next person to announce and throw the ball until a new person won. It was a really fun game... and really VICIOUS! >:3 There was a lot of wrestling going on. XDDDDD
After that, the pizza from Pizza Hut arrived, plus breadsticks. ;D <3 There was also soda and chips and cookies. :3 There were about six boxes of pizza, and somehow we managed to finish ALL OF IT. O.O XDDD (There WERE a lot of peeps there.) After sitting around and talking a lot, we went back into the pool to play more games. (We did volleyball and Two 500s again.) Once the sky got darker and things were quieting down, we just sorta lounged around the pool and talked about stuffeh.
Overall, the whole thing was a blast! ^^ I ended up arriving back home at 9:30PM... whoooo! XDDD
You couldn't really call Thursday the best time to spend the whole night partying, though... 'cause the following Friday was a VERY big day. XDDD;; From 8AM to 11:30AM was varsity marching band rehersal once again. Then after the lunch break, from 12:30PM to 2:30PM, was MASS band rehersal... everybody from both the freshman band camp and the varsity band camp. This meant I got to see Adam again, and we high-fived and he called me Rainbow Girl and I called him Dan and threatened to call him Danny and we shouted and laughed and AND AND... just overall acted weird. I think it's because we both have the same type of weirdness that we already get along so well as buddies even though we've hardly met. XDDDDDD ^^
From 2:30PM until 4PM I had a break at home, and then from that time until 5:30PM... was BLITZ TIME! =0 I forgot to mention this in my previous entry, but we were all given ten "gold cards"... they're discount cards (that look like credit cards) you can use for discounts at certain resteraunts that can be used over and over again, made specially for our highschool's marching band... they're sold at $10 each, and the money goes towards our marching band. Sooo, basically a fundraiser. :3 We were supposed to sell all ten of the cards we were given, but I only managed to sell FOUR. *feels like I failed* ;-; XDDDD;; But during Blitz time, each section signed up to set up a table and stuffeh outside a certain store live HyVee or Wal-Mart to advertise our discount gold cards to people and try to sell them. My section signed up for Bakers. It was... an interesting experience. XDDD Since I was one of the more willing people, I was the one who spoke out to all the strangers entering the store most of the time telling then, "Would you like to buy a Millard West discount gold card for our marching band? ^^" and explaining more if they asked about it and seemed interested. But a lot of the time I wasn't even to finish with "-for our marching band" because they said "No, I'm not interested". ^^;; A lot of people also said something like "Sorry, but I don't have any money right now. ^^;;" ...Except why wouldn't you have any money if you were entering Bakers...? XDDDDDDDD;; Others said, "I'll think about it when I come back out", but then came back out through a different set of doors. Others would walk towards the store after they got out of their car, but when they saw us they'd go through the different doors. ^^;; And others would take out a cellphone and go on it right when they got near us... and sometimes I wondered if they actually weren't talking to anybody. XDDDDDDDD;; But this all only happened sometimes, and at least when people said no, they were polite about it. ^^;; There WERE some people who did buy a card, too. ^^ Mostly elderly people, we all noticed. XDD One time when I asked a man about it as he was walking into the store though, he kept walking straight on quickly and hardly even looked at us.. he just quickly glanced over to glare and then quickly looked forward again as he went on, completely ignoring me as I said "Would you like to buy a Millard West--", and he was already in the store by the time I finished "..gold.. card...? o.o". XDDDDDDDD I was also the only one who was able to pluck up enough courage to ask the tough-looking guy slowly making his way over towards the store, wearing a huge hoodie and a scowl on his face. He looked slightly amused when I did go towards him and try to advertise, though. Too bad he said no... it would of been AWESOMENESS if he had actually bought one! XDDDDDDDD
I told you guys that I managed to survive the week... but sadly, my clarinet didn't. ;-; On Friday I found that I couldn't play certain notes at all... one that used the keys at the bottom of the clarinet. When I blew, the sound was completely blocked. I knew it had nothing to do with cleaning it since I'm good about swabbing out my clarinet every time I finish playing... I told Melissa, (one of the other freshmen) and she noticed that there was a screw down there by those keys that was WAY too far out, unscrewed. So I took my clarinet to the assistance band director and he took a screwdriver and screwed it back in... but my clarinet still wouldn't play. He tried tightening a few other screws here and there, but that didn't do anything either. Something was really wrong with my clarinet, but you couldn't actually see it. So he gave it back to me and told me I'd have to bring it into a repair shop... and that I'd have to borrow a school clarinet for the rest of the day. NUUUUU! T__T XDDDDD;; It felt... strange. If you know how to play a certain instrument, you'll be able to play any other of that same instrument, which of course was true for this. But even though it was the same type of clarinet, it still wasn't the same... it wasn't MY clarinet. D; It felt different, the air felt different. It was like a stranger, or like I was speaking a foreign language and yet I didn't know what I was saying. o.o I could play it of course, but I couldn't play it as well as my own clarinet. It was sorta like in the seventh Harry Potter book, where Harry has to borrow a different wand, and he talks about how even though he can get it to work, he can't get it work as well as his own, and how it feld strange, different, just not like his own wand. THE CLARINET CHOOSES THE PLAYER... O.O XDDDDD
After the blitz thingy, there was a dinner for all the band members and their parents at the school, from 5:30PM to 6:30PM. Then all of us band members got ready and rehearsed a bit more, and then we all went into the auditorium and preformed some songs for our parents. After that we all went outside, and the parents sat in the bleachers and watched us demonstrate some marching for them in the field. By the time the whole thing was over, it was 9PM. :3
From 10PM to midnight at the YMCA that I swim at... was PARTY TIEM! (Again for me! XD) 8D Everybody in teh band, both camps, were all invited. (though not everybody came) First I swam in the pool with the rest of my section. Then after they left and I stayed with Melissa and a few other freshmen from her middle school, we got out of the pool, and I went into the gym where a lot of guys were playing basket, and my whole section was playing a card game called Extreme Spoons. XDDDDDDD What happened was, there was a bunch of plastic spoons... enough for all the players except one. One spoon was kept in the middle of the circle, and the rest where piled somewhere hidden by the loser of the pervious game. You had to hold four cards at a time, and card were passed around face-down for you to pick up and look at and see if you wanted to swap it for one of your own and pass that one on, or just pass the other on... the goal was to get four of the same type. If you did, you were allowed to grab the spoon in the middle. Once the spoon in the middle was grabbed, everybody except for that person had to get up and run to the other spoons, get one, and run back... the one left without a spoon lost the game. It was an absolutely chaotic game... in other words, it was SO FUN!! XDDDD ^^ After that I wandered around with peeps doing other stuffeh, like watching people play Guitar Hero, and at the end I also played a little basketball with friends. <3 (Basketball is my second-favorite sport after swimming... it's one of the few sports that involves a ball that I'm actually GOOD at. XDDDDDD
After the party was over, I ended up going to bed that night at 1:30AM, absolutely EXHAUSTED... and then woke up at 8AM 'cause I had swim team the following morning. Teh yayness of it all for not needing sleep! XD
Sooo, yepyep... the whole week was filled with spending the beginning of the day working exhaustingly hard, and then spending the end of the day partying... I FEEL LIKE I'M IN COLLEGE ALREADY! :'DDD XDDDDDDDDDDD ;D
And then I just got the fourth and last book from the Twilight series "Breaking Dawn" today... a perfect ending to a week filled with a perfect mix of hard work and fun. <3

Ahh, so what if I've used the "Walking In A Straight Line" lyric line once before as a title, maybe even twice accidently? ;3 This is a slightly longer version of the lyric line, and plus it FITS FOR THIS ENTRY MOAR THAN THOSE ONES! >:3 XDDDDDD, except it would be better if it was "marching" instead of "walking"...
Oh yeah, and I'm using meh new hot air balloon icon again because... it's a hot air balloon. And it was superultramega hot outside while we were marching. They both have the word "hot" in them... teh yayness of it all for COMPLEX REASONING! XDDDDD
This week's marching band camp has been a lot different than last week's... and a TON more exhausting! o.o;; XDDD;; This week is only for varsity band camp, and the schedule's different. It's from
Then after you come back from lunch, you spend the first half of the time inside rehearsing the music as a full band, and then everybody goes outside to the field to practice marching the show while also playing at the same time. :3
Marching outside is what makes everybody so exhausted. Doing hard marching outside in the heat for hours at a time... o.o;; On Monday, I slept through my alarm clock, so I had to hurry to get there in time which meant not being able to eat any breakfast... OH NOES! XDD;; In other words, eventually after marching in the heat for awhile, I got really really sick and had to sit out. XP
Tuesday was a ton better... it's been the most enjoyable band camp day so far. ^^ Though, first of all, lemme explain this... on Monday I learned that the clarinet section in the varsity band always go to a resteraunt called Pepperjax Grill that I had never been to before during the lunch break on Tuesdays, 'cause "it's tradish" Jordan said. (tradition) XDDDD But then on Monday I got a call from Danielle (the 2nd chair clarinetist... Jordan's the 1st chair, so both of them are part of the "leadership team") telling me that the leadership team had to film something during the lunch break on Tuesday, so they decided to move our section lunch to Wednesday instead. So I told this to my mom, and she said that she'd pick me up for lunch tomorrow.
Well, Tuesday came... and while we were in the middle of doing drilldowns in the parking lot, it started RAINING! ^^ Not only do I love rain anyways, but especially at that moment it felt SOOOOOO good since we had been marching in the heat all morning! <33333 But rain is bad for the instruments. ^^;; So we decided to put them in the trunks of the two cars of the two drum majors there with us. Good thing we did, 'cause shortly after the rain became REALLY heavy. XD <3
After drilldowns we all ran back inside through the pouring rain, deciding to leave our instruments in the trunk since it was lunch break anyways. But then we found out we had to keep our instruments inside the building... so all of us waited outside the building outside the door to the band room for the two drum majors to drive their cars over to us so we could retrieve our instruments. XD By the time this was done, us woodwind players were a LOT more wet than all the other band members. XDDD
But then I found out that because of the rain, the leadership team would be doing their filming on Wednesday instead... so the clarinet section decided they WOULD have the Pepperjax Grill thingy that day. They said that for us freshmen, (only three of us) they'd give us a ride and let us borrow money from them, since we didn't have any money with us and it would be illegal for us to drive at all. XDD Sooo, we were driven to Pepperjax... but when I got there I discovered I didn't really like anything on their menu, so I decided to run over to Arby's (which was close by) to buy something from there and bring it back over to Pepperjax so I could still eat with everybody. This involved me running in the pouring rain even more... even the cashier said, "Wow, you're really wet!". XDDD By the time I went there and then ran back, I was drenched! :'D <3 Haha, the meal itself was pretty fun... we dragged a whole bunch of tables together so we could all sit together. ^^
Tuesday was also my last piano lesson with the piano teacher I've had ever since I started lessons, until I pick up piano lessons with a new teacher. Though, I dunno when those lessons will start back up... I have no idea how busy I'll be once school starts, since I'll be entering highschool. But I have absolutely no intention of completely quitting piano... lessons or no lessons, I'll still continue to play since I love it so much. <3 But my piano playing does take an unknown turn now...
Today was a ton hotter (and this time very sunny) than yesterday, with almost no wind... all of us were absolutely roasting and unbelievably sweaty. XDDD As for the actual stuffeh we've been doing all three of these days... never before have I played and marched at the same time, and it's HARD! o.o;; It's hard enough just getting to the spots you're supposed to be in WITHOUT playing. XDDD;; But I've only been doing this for a week, compared to all the older kids who have been doing it for multiple years... it'll just take some practice. Even though it's incredibly hard work, it's still fun. ^^
Aannnddd, tomorrow one of the girls in my section is having a pool party at her house right after marching band camp tomorrow for the whole clarinet section... teh yayness of it all! :'D

TEH YAYNESS OF IT ALL!! :'DDDDDDDDDD
...But where's Snape? ;-;
It would've been nice if it was longer, but I'm perfectly happeh with a minute and a half trailer at the moment, compared to the 23 second one that came out earlier, hardly qualifying as a teaser trailer at all. XDDDDD;; My mom didn't like the trailer 'cause she thought there should've been more, but I like it a lot... I mean, finding out about Voldemort's past IS one of the main things in the book. :3 AND THE ACTOR WHO'LL BE PLAYING CHILD VOLDEMORT ISH PERFECT, RIGHT?! (I'm sooo glad they showed that orphanage scene in this trailer.) :'D Oh yeah, and I'm pretty sure when you hear that growl and there's this face on the right side of the screne, that's Fenrir Greyback.
...And I'm pretty sure I know what scene that shot with Ginny in a robe is all about... it's a new scene that wasn't in the book that JK Rowling gave them permission to do. Dunno if it's a good idea or not, though... guess we'll have to wait until the movie comes out, huh? ^^

Sorry I haven't been able to write about this week's marching band camp yet, but this week's schedule has been a lot busier than last week's. ^^;; AND I FORGOT HOW IT FEELS TO NOT BE EXHAUSTED O.O 8D XDDDDDD Muaha, I can't wait until I have time to talk about it all. ^^

Sorry I haven't been able to post as many frequent entries... all this band stuffeh has kept me the busiest I've been all summer! o.o;; I'll try to post all about the rest of this week maybe tomorrow or on Saturday. ^^
But for now... since I could resist the urge no longer, here's the music video to "Nine in the Afternoon" by Panic at the Disco, a song that I've been ABSOLUTELY ADDICTED TO for the longest time now. <333 The video itself is completely random, but it's only for the music that I'm sharing it anyways. :'D

Since I've been moved ahead right away to the varsity band even as an entering freshman, that also means I have to do the varsity band camp instead of the freshman band camp. :3 Well actually, in this case I'm doing BOTH, so I'm quite buseh... whoooo! XDD Varsity band camp is from 6:30PM to 9PM, Mon, Tues, Thurs, and Fri this week, and freshman band camp is from 9AM to 12PM, Tues, Wed, and Thurs this week. Not sure what next week's schedule will be like. Oh yeah, and I getting fitted for meh uniform on Thursday.
Sooo, that means last night was my first time doing MARCHING BAND! ^^ Since me and the only two other freshman clarinetists were the only peeps there who didn't already know how to march, our two section leaders took us away from the rest of the band and started teaching us the basics. We learned how to do attention, horns up, horns down, parade rest, mark count, and do a basic march foward for eight counts with the little toe thingy at the end. (all of this was learned while holding our instruments but not playing them) It was fun, and I think I'm learning fast! =D
Then after that we went back inside to just sit down and practice our music. Guess what the theme is this year? ROLLER COASTERS! :'DDD Haha, perfect! XDD Indeedy, even our first song is simply called "Roller Coaster", and sounds sooooo awesome! This highschool music is FUN-NESS! ^^ All of us in the varsity band are playing everything the freshman band is doing, plus three songs they're not, and "Roller Coaster" is one of them. :3
Today was my first time doing both camps in one day. ;D I woke up early for freshman band camp... just like varsity, we spent the first half outside learning how to march, and the second half inside playing music. Because of what I had been taught last night, I already knew everything they taught us during the freshman band camp, though we learned how to do everything without holding anything at all.
In the freshman band camp, we were all given name tags - small mailbags with our name lamenated on them, to be tied around our waist. It was all the section leaders who were in charge of doing the name tags for everybody in their section, so they were the ones who got to choose how to decorate it, and they made sure to decorate each one different. Mine was a mix of blues and purples, and on each side of my name they drew little red hearts. ^^ Also, in just teh clarinet section, they gave us nicknames... they gave me the nickname Crystal Light, and I have NO idea why. XDDDDDDDDDD
Then it was back to varsity band camp again tonight. ^^ The new things I learned this time was how to do a touch go, march backward, and dress right/left dress. It's hard to make your steps the right distance when you march backwards. ^^;;
I wonder what new stuffeh awaits me! ;D

MOST. CHAOTIC. SWIM MEET. EVAR! O______O;; XDDDDDDDDDD;;
...Ah well. Makes for funny memories, right? XDDD
Actually, this whole week has been pretty crazeh when it comes to this swim meet. OKAYNESS, SO HERE'S THE STORY, before the swim meet today itself... XDD This swim meet is the semi-finals. Originally it was supposed to be held on Wednesday, my family and mine's first full day after we got back. (we arrived home from our out-of-town vacation Tuesday night) In other words, I wasn't going to be in it, since I had gone without swim team for two whole weeks. ^^;; But there was a storm, (these summer meets are held at outside pools) so it was canceled. So then coach Jill called my mom, letting us know that since it was canceled, they were going to have an extra swim team practice later that day if we wanted to come... it was only going to be an hour, (shorter than the rest of our swim team practices) and it would be held at the other YMCA farther from us. (Our whole YMCA swim team at swim meets is actually a combination of two different YMCAs' swim teams.) So of course I wanted to come! ^^ Meanwhile, the swim meet had been rescheduled for Thursday... and since I was going to be able to make the extra practice session on Wednesday, I would be prepared enough to do the swim meet on Thursday!! I was NOT expecting to be swimming in a swim meet so soon after I came back from vacation! o.o XDDD
Sooo, I arrived at the swim meet on Thursday, which was once again held at an outside pool. I got there really early. :3 We all watched warily as more and more dark clouds started floating above us... ^^;;
Meanwhile, only one other person from the same YMCA as me had arrived but I didn't know where they had disappeared off to, but the other YMCA that was with us had peeps there, so even though I didn't know any of them I hung around them. ^^ The two main talkers seemed to be these two guys, one my age and one a few years younger, being silly and weird and funny. =D IRL, guys very easily amuse me, so I felt like I was back in school again as I grinned and stiffled laughs as I listened and watched these two guys goof around. The guy my age kept looking at me. XDDD So then eventually he talked to the whole group of us but then mainly directed it to me when he noticed I was the only one really listening eagerly, sharing with me some horror story involving a foot-long Subway sandwich in New York. XDDDDDDDDDD It was so silleh.
But as they were talking, then thunder started booming around us... there had to be lightning for the meet to be canceled, and everybody know with thunder comes lightning, so yeah... we waited more warily still. XDDD;; Eventually the lightning DID come... and a LOT of it! o.o So even before the warm-ups had started, even before a lot of people had arrived, the meet was canceled. THE MEET WAS CANCELED A SECOND TIME! XDDD
...So then the swim meet was rescheduled for the next day once again - today. Since they couldn't afford for it to be canceled a third time, and there was supposed to be some rain today, this time it was held in an inside pool I had never been to before.
I swam in three events... the 200 Medley Relay, the 200 Freestyle Relay, and the 50 Freestyle. See, the reason why 50 Freestyle was the only non-relay event I swam was because you had to qualify to be able to swim in the semi-finals, but during those qualifying swim meets I was out of town. The only non-relay events I had managed to swim before I went out of town were the 50 Freestyle and the 50 Breastroke, 'cause I only had time for one swim meet before we left. Since we were going out of town, my mom asked the coaches if they could just transfer my first swim meet times for those two events to these semi-finals, and they said they weren't sure. Well, according to Kelly during the swim team practice on Wednesday, the last swim meet before the semi-finals swim meet was canceled after it was about 3/4 done, and those type of regular swim meets don't get rescheduled, so they just had to do the transferring thing with peoples' times in the events that they didn't swim before it got canceled - which included my age groups' 50 Freestyle! :'DDD ...But unfortunetly not my age groups' 50 Breastroke, which is the event I'm fastest at. ;-;
NOW FOR THE SWIM MEET ITSELF! XDDD
Since this was the semi-finals, there were a LOT of people there... eight whole swim teams were there in all! =0 Well, this pool was a normal-sized pool itself, but the deck wasn't... (remember, this was inside) the deck was very small, and though the ceiling was high, it wasn't as high as I usually see when it comes to indoor swim team pools... in other words, it was SO LOUD. o.o;; Everything everybody said echoed everywhere so loudly... (and there were a TON of people there) You had to shout to be able to let the person next to you be able to hear what you were saying. XDD;;
After warm-ups, all of us swim teams we all gathered outside, where we'd stay for the remainder of the swim meet when we weren't swimming... we weren't even allowed to visit our parents. XDDDDD;; So we all set up our towels to lay on, and waited. The reason we all had to stay outside was 'cause there just plain wasn't room for us to stay on the deck. >>;;
Also because of the small deck, the meet was organized like no other I've been too. You had to follow what the adults were saying all the time... you weren't allowed to just go up to your starting block in your lane for your event whenever you were ready. Nope, first they called everybody in your event to wait at the top of the stairs that lead to the bottom floor of the building. Then they called for you to wait in the hallway that lead to the pool. Then they called you to sit in the two rows of chairs in front of the entrance to the pool in that hallway according to your heat and lane. THEN they finally let you out onto the pool deck. THEENNN they make you line up on the side of the pool. ONLY THEN did they let you go behind the starting block of your lane. XDDD;; I have never, EVER, in all the swim meets I've ever been in since 2nd grade, been to one as strictly organized as that. o.o;; XDDDDDDD;;
Probably the most chaotic part was waiting in that hallway. IT WAS SO CROWDED. o.o;; And just like the pool deck in terms of loudness, too. Even though all you were doing was waiting, shoulders were constanly bumped and toes stepped on... I didn't really mind any of this, but however, nobody could deny that it was REALLY HOT. O.O;; All those bodies in one small hallway made that hallway absolutely steaming hot... even spraying mist at my face with my water bottle didn't help very much. XDDD;;
Even though I didn't get to swim the 50 Breakstroke event, at least the stroke I did was breakstroke in the Medley Relay! :3 <3 Buuuut... our backstroker in that relay did her flipturn wrong and got us disqualified. ^^;;
After I was done with the Medley and Freestyle relays, I had a loooong time to wait until I did my last and final event, the 50 Freestyle. o.o Ryan, the only other 14-year-old on my swim team, and his 12-year-old sister Megan, were the only other people there besides me from the same YMCA... and they were in the exact same situation as me. XDDD;; Since we weren't allowed to go anywhere near the pool deck at the time 'cause of those rules, the only thing we could to was sit outside on our towels in the grass, with nothing to do. XDDD Longtime was loooong, but it was actually pretty fun, since the three of us were able to have some fun conversations. ^^ For example, Ryan and I were joking about how weird it was during those scenes in Spider Man 3 when he was dancing and everything. XDDDDDDDDDDDD (we had been talking about movies in general)
As we were waiting out there, then came the news from the pool deck - "SOMEBODY BROKE ONE OF THE BLOCKS! :D"
XDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD?!
According, when one of the older male swimmers had dove off his starting block for his event, he broke it. o.o;; Ryan, Megan, and I were all saying "COOL! 8D" (XDDD) and we wanted to see it... and so did everybody else that had heard about the news. (which was spreading quickly) We saw people going through the doors that lead directly from outside to the pool deck (a back entrance), and even though we weren't supposed to be there, we sneakily decided to try to get in just long enough to see the broken block. XDDDDD But it's hard to try to sneak a peek when everybody else is trying to do the same thing, so right as we entered the deck, there were adults there at the doorway ushering everybody back outside. But while Ryan and Megan weren't able to make it in time, I managed to squeeze in with the coaches... and I saw teh broken block! o.o The whole top platform that you're supposed to stand on was completely tilted forward towards the water, now absolutely impossible to stand on... the back edge of the platform had completely unnattached from the rest of the starting block. There lots of people there trying to fix it. After I was able to glance at it, I hurried outside where Ryan and Megan were waiting for me, and was all "I SAW ITTT o.o" and they quickly asked me what it looked like, and were amused when I told them. XDDD EVERYBODY was, about the whole situation. Ended up it was broken beyond simple repair, so for the rest of the meet, they made everybody dive off the side of the pool instead. XDDDDDDD;; (it would be unfair it only one person dived off the side, 'cause diving off the starting blocks is MUCH faster)
Seriously though, in all the swim meets I've been in since 2nd grade, NEVAR EVAR has someone broken one of the starting blocks! XDDDDDDDD Hm, this swim meet seems to be a first for a LOT of interesting things, huh? ;D
Finally I got the chance to do my 50 Freestyle relay. Compared to my other stroke, my freestyle is just okayness, so I wasn't able to qualify for the Finals in that event, as I predicted. ^^;; I'm disappointed I wasn't able to swim the 50 Breakstroke in this meet... I really think I would've had a big chance with that one.
So yeah... chaotic swim meet, but in a very, VERY fun way. XDDDDDDDDDD Well, when it comes to me and story-telling, I suppose. ^^ Teh yayness of it all!
Tomorrow I'm going to a big party being held by the whole YMCA swim team! I'm really excited! =D
(By the way, I wanted to write about some other stuffeh in this entry too, but it'll have to wait until later. ^^;;)

"I'm off to see the wooorld, the wonderful world of Oz! :'D Well, the eastern side of the country, anyways. XDD
Yepyep... I'm leaving tomorrow for a road trip over to three places... somewhere in Delaware to visit my relatives on my dad's side and go to the beach, Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to visit my relatives on my mom's side (we go here almost every summer), and for the first time evah, Hershey, Pennsylvania, where we'll go to Hershey Park for teh roller coasters... and teh CHOCOLATE, of course. Can't forget about the chocolate! ;D
So yeah... you guys won't have to deal with me for two whole weeks. XDDD Don't get arrested or anything while I'm gone, okayness?
Aaannndd... my dad IS bringing his laptop, but very very much doubt I'll have any time to get on. Plus I'd like to spend as much time as I can outside. ^^;; I might be able to check up on you guys once or twice, but that's it. ;D"
I was talking to all of TPTF whenever I said "you", but... I suppose the "don't get arrested" could go for anyone. XDDDDDD (I was kidding, by the way.) And when I said "check up on you guys once or twice"... I dunno what internetz stuffeh that might go for, if I do get a chance to go online. Might be e-mail, maybe AIM, maybe TPTF, maybe LJ... I dunno what I might check. But again, I don't think I'll be able to get online at all much.
There's a lot to look forward to when I get back. ^^ Taileh will be back once I'm back... Taileh, if you're reading this and haven't gotten the chance to listen to "Good Enough" by Evanescence yet, and you're having a hard time finding the full version, it's okayness if you just wanna listen to it through the music video on YouTube. The instrumentals part it starts at is the prettiest piano part anyways. <3 LaPoap... hopefully the Nintendo WiFi will be working on this computer, 'cause you owe me a battle! ;D Also when I get back, band camp starts a week later! 8D And I'll have already read, or will read, the next volume of the Fruits Basket manga... (the 20th volume) www.borders.com said that it came out TODAY, July 1st, which is really unusual... usually they come out in the MIDDLE of the month. o.o;; I might be able to get it during the trip. :'D
Sooo, until two weeks... byebyenessness, everybody! <3

Just like all summer swim meets, this one was in an outside pool. It was very hot and muggy that day, (My type of weather! ;D) so the water actually felt perfect. (For swim team and meets, the water should be fairly cold, but it's nice for it not to be TOO cold. XD) Pffffft, I hardly even needed a towel for when I wasn't in the water... it was so warm outside that I didn't feel cold after getting out of the water, and it would only take about five minutes to air dry. XDDDDDD It felt great! <3 But meanwhile, my parents and the all the other parents of the other swimmers were absolutely roasting, and looked like they wanted to jump into the pool themselves. XDDD;;
As for the starting blocks... wowzers, out of ALL the diving blocks I have EVER gone off of, (and that's a LOT) these are the highest blocks evah. O.O;; Mygawsh, they were so high... I had to do more practice starts than usual during the warm-ups to try to get used to them. XD;; I remember during the first one or two starts (which weren't very good) it seemed like I took me forever to finally reach the water, since the block was so high. XDDD
The events I swam were the 200 Medley Relay, 50 Breastroke, 50 Freestyle, and 200 Freestyle Relay, in that order. (Whoa, not even a 100! XD;; And no backstroke..) These summer swim team meets are a lot different from the year-round swim team meets... they're a ton shorter. >>;; Most of the events only had ONE heat, and none more than two!! o.o;; Anyways, for the freestyle relay, my relay team was the only girls relay team in our age group, so we didn't even have anybody to race against. XD;; But as for my three other events...
200 Medley Relay - 1st place
50 Breakstroke - 1st place
50 Freestyle - 2nd place (knew I wasn't going to get 1st with this one XD;;)
Teh yayness of it all! As you can see, it was a good meet for me. :'D And I did a lot better than I expected in the 50 Freestyle... I knew I wouldn't get 1st, (I'm just okayness at freestyle.. breastroke is my specialty) but I definitely didn't think I'd get 2nd!! O.O;;
Oh yeah, and coach Ethan is mad at me for using his hat to squish a bug. XDDDDDDDDDDD!
Last night I finally saw the Matrix for the first time! :'DDD I hadn't seen it before 'cause it's rated R. (my parents are pretty strict about that kind of stuffeh) But it seemed like everybody else my age had already seen it, and I've been hearing about how great it's supposed to be, so I really wanted to see it. Well, I watched it...
And it definitely lived up to all my expectations. :'DDD
Teh yayness of it all for guys in trenchcoats and sunglasses! XDDD The special effects and actions scenes were great of course, but that's not why I loved this movie. I just really loved the plot... it really made you think, made you wonder, "Maybe something like that really IS happening!". XD And I loved how the whole movie was put together... AND YAYNESS FOR AGENT SMITH! :'DDD XDDD He was one of the best parts of the movie, of course. ;D My mom and I agreed that his actor was amazing. Hmm... why is it that I always enjoy the actors for bad guys more that good guys? XDDD Oh yeah, and then in the specials features of the DVD, we found out he's BRITISH! :'DDD XDDDDDDD
See... there really aren't many movies that I dislike. I'm easy to please when it comes to movies... as we walk out of the movie theater after seeing a new movie and my mom asks me if I like it or not, I can honestly say yes. BUT. There are many movies I like... but there are very few movies I LOVE. There are very few movies where, after watching them, I can honestly say, "Wow, that movie was REALLY GREAT! O.O;;". Things I look for in movies that I love... well, I just really love good plots. I'm tired of the same old plots that happen in so many other movies. You know, my family and I have been watching a few of the old Indiana Jones movies before we go see the newest one out sometime in the near future... the action's good and all, but that's it. I mean, they're good movies, but I haven't really enjoyed them at all... the plots are incredibly simple. And I also look for great scripts. I'm also a sucker for brilliant actors/actresses... ones where I don't think of it as someone acting as a character, I just think of it as a character. I find that these people usually tend to act as the bad guys. XDDDDDDDDD;; And also just how the whole movie is put together... I love that horror movie "The Ring", which is a psychological thriller. It just totally messes with your mind. <3 I've never been able for sure to say what's my favorite movie, but so far I've always answered "Pirates of the Caribbean"... (The FIRST one. >:3 I didn't like the second and third ones as much.) it has just the right mix of good actors, good music, interesting script, humor, action, and romance. It the plot of a movie isn't as complicated as I'd like it to be, but the movie is brilliant in a bunch of other things, I'll probably still love it.
...So yeah. There the end of my movie rant. XDDD;;
Wowzers, Agent Smith was pretty cool, wasn't he? :'DDD XDDDDDDD
Yesterday I called everybody other to teh TPT chatroom! :'DDD I think for awhile there, there was about... seven people? Well, lesse here... Me, Chis, Fishy, Drix, Geico, WDG, Wyre, Chorusco... yepyep, besides me, there were seven others! It had been FOREVAH since I had been in teh TPT chatroom... is was halarious, as always! :'DDD
My grandparents left to go back to their home yesterday morning. (they took a plane) Now with my both my sister and my grandparents gone, it just me and my parents now again. =0 But we'll see both my grandparents and my sister again when WE travel out there to Delaware and Pennsylvania this summer! ;D
...And actually, we leave for that vacation this Wednesday. Wowzers, that's not that far away. o.o;;

Saturday was pretty busy for me. ^^ In the morning I had swim team... and by the end of it I was very much beat up. XDDDD Even before I got to the pool, my stomach had been hurting that morning for some reason... and then at the end of practice, we practiced our dives off the side of the pool, which always churns your stomach. XP On year-round swim team you dive off the blocks, but apparently for the smaller summer swim teams you do it off the side. (This is all new to me.) Diving off the side is really easy, (though, remember, diving for swim team isn't like regular dives... you have to dive in an arch so that when you enter the surface, you're not very deep underwater and you move forward in your streamline... you DON'T want to go very deep) but you don't go nearly as far and it's not as fun as diving off the blocks. D; While we were practicing them though, coach Ethan said my dives were absolutely perfect and there's was nothing I had to improve on. ^^ But a lot of the younger kids were still having trouble. So then Ethan pulled out one of those foam noodle things you can play with in the pool, and held it out and make the kids have to dive over it. (similar techniques were used for me waaay back years ago when I still had troubling diving too... kinda scary, but pretty effective) When it was my turn again, even though he said I didn't have to improve on anything, he held out the noodle thingy for me to dive over too, just for the heck of it. XD But since I already has an easy time with diving, he held it extra high and was all "Oh, come on... just as a challenge! 8D". And geeze, challenge it was... how the heck are you supposed to dive THAT high into the air and still land in an arch instead of straight down?! o_0 My brain had trouble telling my legs to go, but I did it anyways... and screamed as I flew through the air too! XDDDDDD
BUT... o.o
Like I said, it's pretty impossible to dive up that high and not land in the water going straight down. ...Which was what I ended up doing. XD;; Well, I dunno if any of you have tried diving but failed and ending up going straight down really fast, but a lot of the time you end up accidently doing a flip underwater, 'cause you're going so fast straight down and you accidently go in a little more, causing you to flip. This used to happen to me a few rare times off the blocks when I used to be on year-round swim team, if I was caught unprepared or something... well, in those year-round swim team pools, the deepest end that you're diving in is always wither 12 or 13 feet deep. Since this summer swim team is just held in a family YMCA pool, the three lap lanes... well, the deepest end, which was where we were diving, was... 6 feet deep. And I'm 5'9. >>;; And I accidently ended up doing a flip deep underwater there, so...
THE RESULT?! 8D?!
INJURIES, ALMOST BEING KNOCKED UNCONCIOUS, WHOOOO!! :'D XDDDDDD;; Indeedy, I ended up upside-down and with my long 5'9 body in a 6 ft. deep pool, my head hit the bottom REALLY hard. @_@ It hurt like heck, and I dunno how I really managed to get right-side-up and get back to the surface... I must have looked like a real mess down there underwater. XDDD All I know is that when I got out of the water, coach Ethan just grinned and told me, "...Nice." BLARGFUNGTON! XDDDDD That's that last time you'll see ME take any of Ethan's diving challenges! ;3
Really, both of the guy coaches pick on me. XD There are three coaches, one girls and two guys - Jill, Ethan, and Nick. They're all eighteen. Both Ryan and I are the two oldest swimmers at age fourteen. (Which I first met Ryan I thought he was twelve or something, though. XDDDD;;) It's a four year difference, but I get along pretty well with the coaches... or maybe I'm just used to being friends with peeps their age online, I dunno. XDDDDD ;D Well, maybe not coach Nick. He keeps threatening me by saying that if I don't stop being crazy he'll assign me to swim butterfly drills the whole time. I think he's joking, though... well, I hope so. o.o XDDD
Then later that day I went with my parents and grandparents to visit an aquarium, whoooo! :3
Oh yeah, and my sister is now officially back at college for her summer classes. =0 I'll see her again when we go over there in July, though. ^^
Then later that day I went to the mall with Hope! ^^ She told me that I bared the unmistakable signs of having spent most of my summer outdoors. XDDDDDDDDD;; Indeedy, like I mentioned above, I still look pretty beat up... most of the cuts and scratches from my adventure a week ago have healed, but there's still a few left, and bunch of new ones too - I keep forgetting to mention it, but I've been doing a lot of other outdoor avtivites like visiting wildlife reservation parks and stuffeh like that. ^^;; And I have some bruises from who knows what... my parents keep telling me it's because I spin around and walk into walls too much. o.o;; In fact, even when I was showing some of my latest injuries to Hope, I lifted my right sleeve to examine my shoulder, and right there was a very nasty sort of cut/scrape I had never seen before... o_0 XDDD, I don't even know how I got it!! It obviously happened that same day since it pretty fresh, but I didn't remember getting it... maybe I scraped my right shoulder on the bottom of the pool when I hit my head, too. o.o Ah well.. just more proof that I'm injury-prone. XDDDDDD
And I even already have two misquito (Did I spell that right? Did I? DID I?! ;-;) bites, too. XDDD Both of them also came from that same day... I suspect it was from when I was painting my nails in the backyard. >>;; I had already painted my fingernails, but not my toenails, and since my dad was home this time and he wanted me to take it outside, that what I did... I took a towel to lay on and my Zune to listen to, too. :3 But then as I was painting them, it started raining! XDDD;; Well, just lightly sprinkling. :3 I love rain, but it really would be troublesome for the still-wet nail polish. >>;; So then I just took the big green lawn chair we have on the back patio and put on my towel for my feet to stay under so they'd stay dry! (Yayness for resourcefulness! 8D XDDD)
So yeah. Outdoors girl indeedy! That ish what I am this summer. :3 <3 Well, all that's missing is the tan... I'm still as pale as heck. XD Even my grandma asked me, "How do your legs stay so milky white when you're out in the sun in shorts all day?!". I dunno. I just don't tan. o_0
Oh yeah.. and at the mall after Hope and I shopped for clothes, she went to buy something from Starbucks while telling me, "I still can't believe you don't like Starbucks... o.o". I just don't... I completely despise the smell and taste of coffee. ^^;; Well, she bought a vanilla bean frappichino... she said it didn't have any coffee in it and asked if I'd like to try it, so I said yes. Aannnddd... it was DELICIOUS!! O__O <333 Indeedy, I couldn't taste any coffee... just yummeh vanilla and cream. :'DDD
I've been noticing that most of my latest entries have all been public, not friends-only. XD ^^ I guess that's 'cause I don't have any silly school stories to talk about since I'm on summer vacation... the entries I mark as friends-only are mostly ones about people I know IRL, even though the chance they'd ever find this LJ is very, VERY rare. XDDD Other friends-only entries are about problems or more personal stuffeh, but those types of entries are farely rare for me.
I miss Taileh already. He's out for three weeks, but then I leave to go out of town for two weeks just a couple days BEFORE he gets back. And I've been wanting to AIM Aria, but I haven't managed to catch her online... stupid across-the-seas timezones! XDDDDD;; ^^;;
EDIT:: I created an "injuries" tag. XDDDDDDDDDDDDD
EDIT EDIT:: Oh yeah, and I spent all of today at the zoo with my parents and grandparents, BAM!

My grandma ordered it online as a combined marriage aniversary/Father's Day gift for my parents. It has watermelon, grapes, cantilope, honeydew, and pineapple... and half of each of the pineapple flowers are also covered in chocolate, as you can see. ;D And it's HUUUGE! o.o;; And very pretteh and yummeh. <3
Yesterday during swim team, our coach Ethan (I haven't seen Jill there lately... maybe she's out of town.) made us get into the pool right away instead of doing dry land exercises outside first. But then, about half an hour before the practice was supposed to end, somebody threw up in the pool. XP Even though it was completely on the opposite end of the pool from us, they had to evacuate the whole pool. So, since we still had half an hour left, Ethan made us go put out our dry land clothes over our swimsuits once again to do the exercises and the end of the practice, since we couldn't go in the pool and we didn't do them earlier. XDDD
First we did sprints up and down that steep hill again... but when Ethan saw that I STILL had lots of cuts from recklessly rolling down it on Saturday, he specifically told me I wasn't allowed to roll down it today. GOSH DARN IT! ;-; XDDDDDDD
And then we walked down to that little playground again. I swung on the swings the whole time. AHHHHHHH! Even as a teenager now... I cannot enforce how much I LOOOOOVE swinging. <333 Muaha, it's like I'm flying! :'DDD I decided to have my eyes closed the whole time too, something I used to do all the time. ^^ I only opened them when Ethan shouted up at me to be careful not to accidently do a backflip. (then I closed them again) XDDDDD I WAS going rather high... (when the swing would go backwards, I was going high enough that I could see over the bar when I was all the way up) Haha, once I have a kid, I'm going to make sure we have a swingset in the backyard... I'll introduce them to swinging early, and try to get them to start swinging on their own without anybody pushing them at around age three or four. That's the age I taught myself... mmm, it was in our backyard in North Carolina, the backyard that was all woods... <333 At that age, I was already swinging high enough that I accidently knocked a little boy unconsious when he walked in front of me one time! XDDDDDDDDDDDD;;
Lately I've been spending my nights (my LATE nights... I'm talking after midnight) in my room listening to songs on my Zune... just laying there, listening, and thinking about a lot of stuffeh. :3 "Sleepless long nights, That is what my youth was for"... haha, that song is so true. ;D (It's "1234" by Feist, by the way.) Some nights I'd stay up until 2AM, just... thinking...
