...If there are still public entries below this entry, that means I'm still in the process of turning all my past public entries into friends-only entries, though. XDDD;;
If you want to be friends, just comment saying where we know each other from... or heck, even if I don't know you, just tell me a bit about yourself! :3
Saturday was pretty busy for me. ^^ In the morning I had swim team... and by the end of it I was very much beat up. XDDDD Even before I got to the pool, my stomach had been hurting that morning for some reason... and then at the end of practice, we practiced our dives off the side of the pool, which always churns your stomach. XP On year-round swim team you dive off the blocks, but apparently for the smaller summer swim teams you do it off the side. (This is all new to me.) Diving off the side is really easy, (though, remember, diving for swim team isn't like regular dives... you have to dive in an arch so that when you enter the surface, you're not very deep underwater and you move forward in your streamline... you DON'T want to go very deep) but you don't go nearly as far and it's not as fun as diving off the blocks. D; While we were practicing them though, coach Ethan said my dives were absolutely perfect and there's was nothing I had to improve on. ^^ But a lot of the younger kids were still having trouble. So then Ethan pulled out one of those foam noodle things you can play with in the pool, and held it out and make the kids have to dive over it. (similar techniques were used for me waaay back years ago when I still had troubling diving too... kinda scary, but pretty effective) When it was my turn again, even though he said I didn't have to improve on anything, he held out the noodle thingy for me to dive over too, just for the heck of it. XD But since I already has an easy time with diving, he held it extra high and was all "Oh, come on... just as a challenge! 8D". And geeze, challenge it was... how the heck are you supposed to dive THAT high into the air and still land in an arch instead of straight down?! o_0 My brain had trouble telling my legs to go, but I did it anyways... and screamed as I flew through the air too! XDDDDDD
BUT... o.o
Like I said, it's pretty impossible to dive up that high and not land in the water going straight down. ...Which was what I ended up doing. XD;; Well, I dunno if any of you have tried diving but failed and ending up going straight down really fast, but a lot of the time you end up accidently doing a flip underwater, 'cause you're going so fast straight down and you accidently go in a little more, causing you to flip. This used to happen to me a few rare times off the blocks when I used to be on year-round swim team, if I was caught unprepared or something... well, in those year-round swim team pools, the deepest end that you're diving in is always wither 12 or 13 feet deep. Since this summer swim team is just held in a family YMCA pool, the three lap lanes... well, the deepest end, which was where we were diving, was... 6 feet deep. And I'm 5'9. >>;; And I accidently ended up doing a flip deep underwater there, so...
THE RESULT?! 8D?!
INJURIES, ALMOST BEING KNOCKED UNCONCIOUS, WHOOOO!! :'D XDDDDDD;; Indeedy, I ended up upside-down and with my long 5'9 body in a 6 ft. deep pool, my head hit the bottom REALLY hard. @_@ It hurt like heck, and I dunno how I really managed to get right-side-up and get back to the surface... I must have looked like a real mess down there underwater. XDDD All I know is that when I got out of the water, coach Ethan just grinned and told me, "...Nice." BLARGFUNGTON! XDDDDD That's that last time you'll see ME take any of Ethan's diving challenges! ;3
Really, both of the guy coaches pick on me. XD There are three coaches, one girls and two guys - Jill, Ethan, and Nick. They're all eighteen. Both Ryan and I are the two oldest swimmers at age fourteen. (Which I first met Ryan I thought he was twelve or something, though. XDDDD;;) It's a four year difference, but I get along pretty well with the coaches... or maybe I'm just used to being friends with peeps their age online, I dunno. XDDDDD ;D Well, maybe not coach Nick. He keeps threatening me by saying that if I don't stop being crazy he'll assign me to swim butterfly drills the whole time. I think he's joking, though... well, I hope so. o.o XDDD
Then later that day I went with my parents and grandparents to visit an aquarium, whoooo! :3
Oh yeah, and my sister is now officially back at college for her summer classes. =0 I'll see her again when we go over there in July, though. ^^
Then later that day I went to the mall with Hope! ^^ She told me that I bared the unmistakable signs of having spent most of my summer outdoors. XDDDDDDDDD;; Indeedy, like I mentioned above, I still look pretty beat up... most of the cuts and scratches from my adventure a week ago have healed, but there's still a few left, and bunch of new ones too - I keep forgetting to mention it, but I've been doing a lot of other outdoor avtivites like visiting wildlife reservation parks and stuffeh like that. ^^;; And I have some bruises from who knows what... my parents keep telling me it's because I spin around and walk into walls too much. o.o;; In fact, even when I was showing some of my latest injuries to Hope, I lifted my right sleeve to examine my shoulder, and right there was a very nasty sort of cut/scrape I had never seen before... o_0 XDDD, I don't even know how I got it!! It obviously happened that same day since it pretty fresh, but I didn't remember getting it... maybe I scraped my right shoulder on the bottom of the pool when I hit my head, too. o.o Ah well.. just more proof that I'm injury-prone. XDDDDDD
And I even already have two misquito (Did I spell that right? Did I? DID I?! ;-;) bites, too. XDDD Both of them also came from that same day... I suspect it was from when I was painting my nails in the backyard. >>;; I had already painted my fingernails, but not my toenails, and since my dad was home this time and he wanted me to take it outside, that what I did... I took a towel to lay on and my Zune to listen to, too. :3 But then as I was painting them, it started raining! XDDD;; Well, just lightly sprinkling. :3 I love rain, but it really would be troublesome for the still-wet nail polish. >>;; So then I just took the big green lawn chair we have on the back patio and put on my towel for my feet to stay under so they'd stay dry! (Yayness for resourcefulness! 8D XDDD)
So yeah. Outdoors girl indeedy! That ish what I am this summer. :3 <3 Well, all that's missing is the tan... I'm still as pale as heck. XD Even my grandma asked me, "How do your legs stay so milky white when you're out in the sun in shorts all day?!". I dunno. I just don't tan. o_0
Oh yeah.. and at the mall after Hope and I shopped for clothes, she went to buy something from Starbucks while telling me, "I still can't believe you don't like Starbucks... o.o". I just don't... I completely despise the smell and taste of coffee. ^^;; Well, she bought a vanilla bean frappichino... she said it didn't have any coffee in it and asked if I'd like to try it, so I said yes. Aannnddd... it was DELICIOUS!! O__O <333 Indeedy, I couldn't taste any coffee... just yummeh vanilla and cream. :'DDD
I've been noticing that most of my latest entries have all been public, not friends-only. XD ^^ I guess that's 'cause I don't have any silly school stories to talk about since I'm on summer vacation... the entries I mark as friends-only are mostly ones about people I know IRL, even though the chance they'd ever find this LJ is very, VERY rare. XDDD Other friends-only entries are about problems or more personal stuffeh, but those types of entries are farely rare for me.
I miss Taileh already. He's out for three weeks, but then I leave to go out of town for two weeks just a couple days BEFORE he gets back. And I've been wanting to AIM Aria, but I haven't managed to catch her online... stupid across-the-seas timezones! XDDDDD;; ^^;;
EDIT:: I created an "injuries" tag. XDDDDDDDDDDDDD
EDIT EDIT:: Oh yeah, and I spent all of today at the zoo with my parents and grandparents, BAM!

My grandma ordered it online as a combined marriage aniversary/Father's Day gift for my parents. It has watermelon, grapes, cantilope, honeydew, and pineapple... and half of each of the pineapple flowers are also covered in chocolate, as you can see. ;D And it's HUUUGE! o.o;; And very pretteh and yummeh. <3
Yesterday during swim team, our coach Ethan (I haven't seen Jill there lately... maybe she's out of town.) made us get into the pool right away instead of doing dry land exercises outside first. But then, about half an hour before the practice was supposed to end, somebody threw up in the pool. XP Even though it was completely on the opposite end of the pool from us, they had to evacuate the whole pool. So, since we still had half an hour left, Ethan made us go put out our dry land clothes over our swimsuits once again to do the exercises and the end of the practice, since we couldn't go in the pool and we didn't do them earlier. XDDD
First we did sprints up and down that steep hill again... but when Ethan saw that I STILL had lots of cuts from recklessly rolling down it on Saturday, he specifically told me I wasn't allowed to roll down it today. GOSH DARN IT! ;-; XDDDDDDD
And then we walked down to that little playground again. I swung on the swings the whole time. AHHHHHHH! Even as a teenager now... I cannot enforce how much I LOOOOOVE swinging. <333 Muaha, it's like I'm flying! :'DDD I decided to have my eyes closed the whole time too, something I used to do all the time. ^^ I only opened them when Ethan shouted up at me to be careful not to accidently do a backflip. (then I closed them again) XDDDDD I WAS going rather high... (when the swing would go backwards, I was going high enough that I could see over the bar when I was all the way up) Haha, once I have a kid, I'm going to make sure we have a swingset in the backyard... I'll introduce them to swinging early, and try to get them to start swinging on their own without anybody pushing them at around age three or four. That's the age I taught myself... mmm, it was in our backyard in North Carolina, the backyard that was all woods... <333 At that age, I was already swinging high enough that I accidently knocked a little boy unconsious when he walked in front of me one time! XDDDDDDDDDDDD;;
Lately I've been spending my nights (my LATE nights... I'm talking after midnight) in my room listening to songs on my Zune... just laying there, listening, and thinking about a lot of stuffeh. :3 "Sleepless long nights, That is what my youth was for"... haha, that song is so true. ;D (It's "1234" by Feist, by the way.) Some nights I'd stay up until 2AM, just... thinking...

She's waiting like an iceberg
Waiting to change
But she's cold inside
She wants to be like the water
All the muscles tighten in her face
Buries her soul in one embrace
They're one and the same
Just like water
And the fire fades away
Most of everyday
Is full of tired excuses
But it's too hard to say
I wish it were simple
But we give up easily
You're close enough to see that
You're the other side of the world to me
On comes the panic light
Holding on with fingers and feelings alike
But the time has come
To move along
And the fire fades away
Most of everyday
Is full of tired excuses
But it's to hard to say
I wish it were simple
But we give up easily
You're close enough to see that
You're the other side of the world
Can you help me
Can you let me go
And can you still love me
When you can't see me anymore
And the fire fades away
Most of everyday

Haha, if you're wondering how I got all beat-up and such... it was during dry land exercises before we got in the pool during swim team today. XDDD;; We were doing some sprints up and down this really steep hill outside the YMCA building. Well, eventually Ethan (the guy coach) had us doing more interesting things besides just running, like going up backwards (which resulted in us all falling down a lot since its hard run backwards up a really steep hill XDDD) or skipping. At one point he told us to do lunges (where you bend both of your legs so that one leg's knee touches the ground, and then with the next step the knee on your other leg touches the ground... they're pretty hard when you do a lot) up and down the hill, and it was hard enough doing them up such a steep hill... but going down was nearly impossible. o.o;; Even when I was just starting to go down I kept stumbling, so I just shouted, "Oh, heck with this... I'M GONNA ROLL! YEAAAAH WHOOOO 8D" and just went on my stomach and rolled down the rest of the way. Quite effective. XDDDDDDDDDDDD
The result was me being a big bloody mess, (okayness, so that's exagerating a bit) but again... it was totally worth it. Totally totally worth it... who cares if you have to endure some pain as long as you can have a bit of fun? :'DDDDDDD
You know a couple entries ago how I mentioned that I tried calling five IRL friends all in a row, but only one person was there to answer, (Anna) and I only got to talk to her for about three minutes anyways? XDDD;; Well, one of the four others, Hope, returned my call yesterday! ^^ Ends up she WAS out of town when I called. XDDDDD;; (But not majorly out of town... just one state below us for some church activity.) So we talked for awhile... I told her that I couldn't go out and do something with her that day or during the weekend since today my grandparents arrived and tomorrow will be Father's Day, but that hopefully we could do something together next week instead. :3 Maybe we'll get the chance to go to the mall or see a movie or something. ^^
And yesh... my grandparents arrived today! ^^ Ends up they'll be staying here for eleven days, not ten. =0 Haha, both of them already love our cat. XDDD <3 They enjoyed it when I was praticing piano, too. ^^
It's been incredibly nice and sunny outside both today and yesterday... hopefully it can stay nice for the next eleven days, unlike this past week, where there's been tornadoes pretty much every other night. I dunno what would happen if there were more tornadoes while my granparents stay here... they'd be absolutely terrified! D;
*winces again* Ouch. Those cuts DO hurt. x_X B-But... rolling down that hill was SO FUN! ;-; XDDD;;

I came and I swam the warm-ups along with everybody else. They were able to start the first couple relays. And then... the whole rest of the meet got canceled 'cause it was getting to stormy outside. o.o;; I didn't even get to swim any events. XDDDDDDDD;;
Then as my mom was driving me home, that's when the tornado sirens went off. @_@ We returned home as quickly as we could, and then went in the basement with my dad. (my sister was half an hour away in downtown for dance classes) I didn't even have time to change out of my swimsuit. XD;; (though I was wearing shorts and a cami over it anyways) We stayed in the basement for what seemed like forever... long enough to make the batteries in my Zune go dead, at least. XDDD;; Only after a couple hours later did we finally get to go back upstairs. XP It was still pretty stormy though.
Man, it sure is a good thing my grandparents didn't come THIS week... (They come tomorrow!) we've had tornadoes almost literally every other night!! o.o;; My parents said that teh weather peeps said this was a record-breaking year for tornadoes here. This is the most tornadoes we've had this year since forever! In fact, just on that Wednesday I was telling you about... stretching from Kansas to Missouri and including Nebraska (where I live) and Iowa, there were a total of FIFTY-TWO tornadoes that night! FIFTY-TWO!! That's insane... o.o;;
Oh yeah, and speaking of my grandparents coming tomorrow... when it comes to cleaning the house for them, all I need to do is vaccuum the floor of my room and then I'll FINALLY be done with it! Teh yayness of it all! :'DDDDD XD

You know how I said my parents told me there was one other 14-year-old on the swim team too, but I assumed they weren't there both of those days? Well... ends up that boy I mentioned that I said was probably the second oldest to me that I guessed was 12 years old... is that other 14-year-old my parents mentioned! XDDDDDDDD;; I had no idea! He looks very much younger than me... o.o
Since my grandparents are coming over here this Saturday for their ten day stay, my family and I are more frantic than ever to get the whole house clean on time. This includes my room... >>;; (I'm STILL not done. That's how much junk is in it!)
Yesterday my mind was once again melting from lack of IRL teenager communication, so I tried calling some friends. In fact, I called FIVE friends... and only ONE of them was there to answer, but they were only able to talk for three minutes anyways!! O.O;; T__T XDDDDDDD;; I tried calling Hope, Katie, Alyssa, Anna, and Maddie. Anna was the one who was actually there, and we talked briefly about our experience concerning that tornado that happened in the middle of the night that I mentioned in my previous entry. XD As for the four others, I left a voice message with my phone number asking them to call back. I still haven't gotten a call back from them... (Or from Maggie, whom I tried calling a couple days before.) Ohgawsh, what if they're all out of town, like they were during Spring Break, going to all these awesome places like the Caribbean and Disney World and such?! NUUUUU, DARN YOU ALL!!! O_____O XDDDDDDDD;; It would be pretty sad if all my IRL friends spent June going out of town, while I'll be spending July going out of town. o.o;;
For the past five days I have not been able to go to sleep without dreaming a dream that takes place entirely at school. o.o;; About half of them take place with me still being an 8th grader at my middle school, while the other half are of me already as a 9th grader in my future highschool. Every single one of my summer vacation dreams being school-related... I think this goes to say something, but I'm not sure what. o.o XDDDDDDDDDD;;
Oh yeah, and I'd like to take this moment to say that thanks to Drix from TPTF, I've now been reading the Death Note manga online... (I've finished the anime and the two live-action movies, so now it's time for the manga finally! XD) I'm already up to chapter 26, teh yayness of it all! :'DDD XD
Lately on TPTF I have been PMing a new member named Steph a lot, ever since I sent her the first one explaining how to do some simple profile/avatar/siggy stuffeh. Now one of the things we've been talking about... well, she decided she wanted to read some of my fanfiction, so she went onto my FF.net account and read my Christmas AAMRN fic that I wrote in December '05 that won a RCA (purely for being an AAMRN =P) and BIC on TPT. She sent me seperate reviews for each part in PMs (there's only four parts in that fic) with advice and compliments. It was very nice. <3 But this also meant she made me feel guilty and such, saying things like "I hope you're still writing fanfics!". >>;; *hasn't worked on my fanfiction for over a year* And when I told her I was 11 years old when I wrote that fic, she told me "If you were only 11 then, think of how good your writing would be now! ;D". GUILT TRIP, GUILT TRIP!! O__O;; XD;; It's just... it's hard to get back into it once you've stopped for so long. And I wanted to spend my summer vacation doing a lot of other things... >>;;
So yeah... again, tomorrow = my first swim meet of the summer, after I haven't done one for a year... whoooo! XD Wish me luck! ;D

Spontaneous Idealist (SI)
(Just visiting? Take the free test and determine your personality type!)The spontaneous idealist is a creative, lively and open-minded person. He is humorous and disposes of a contagious zest for life. His enthusiasm and sparkling energy inspires others and sweeps them along. He enjoys being together with other people and often has an uncanny intuition for their motivations and potential. The spontaneous idealist is a master of communication and a very amusing and gifted entertainer. Fun and variety are guaranteed when he is around. However, he is sometimes somewhat too impulsive in dealing with others and can hurt people without really meaning to do so, due to his direct and sometimes critical nature.
This personality type is a keen and alert observer; he misses nothing which is going on around him. In extreme cases, he tends to be oversensitive and exaggeratedly alert and is inwardly always ready to jump. Life for him is an exciting drama full of emotionality. However, he quickly becomes bored when things repeat themselves and too much detailed work and care is required. His creativity, his imaginativeness and his originality become most noticeable when developing new projects and ideas - he then leaves the meticulous implementation of the whole to others. On the whole, the spontaneous idealist attaches great value to his inner and outward independence and does not like accepting a subordinate role. He therefore has problems with hierarchies and authorities.
If you have a spontaneous idealist as your friend, you will never be bored; with him, you can enjoy life to the full and celebrate the best parties. At the same time, he is warm, sensitive, attentive and always willing to help. If the spontaneous idealist has just fallen in love, the sky is full of violins and his new partner is showered with attention and affection. This type then bubbles over with charm, tenderness and imagination. But, unfortunately, it soon becomes boring for him once the novelty has worn off. Boring everyday life in a partnership is not for him so that many spontaneous idealists slip from one affair into another. However, should the partner manage to keep his curiosity alive and not let routine and familiarity gain the upper hand, the spontaneous idealist can be an inspiring and loving partner.

It actually wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. o.o INCREDIBLY different from the year-round swim teams... there were only fifteen people there today, and I was the oldest one at age 14... and the fastest, even though I hadn't swam for a year. XDDD I think the boy who was second oldest to me might have been 12. My parents told me there's supposed to be one other 14-year-old, but I guess they weren't there today.
If I had still been swimming on a year-round swim team every week, I wouldn't have broken a sweat during the whole thing... but seeing as I hadn't swam for a year, man was I TIRED. O.O;;
Aannnddd... GUESS WHAT, GUESS WHAT?! 8D It's only been my first day, and I ALREADY have injuries! *very proud of myself* :'DDD I have four big cuts on my upper right leg... one of them is particularly bad.. it's very long and has even gotten pretty puffy. I got these cuts from going over the lane ropes instead of under. XDDDDDDDD;; I mean, at the swimming pool at Millard West that I swam at when I used to be on a year-round swim team, you could go over the lane ropes with no problem. But because of the way the lane ropes at this YMCA pool are shaped... man, those edges are like knives!! o.o;;
Mmm... you know how the reason I quit year-round swim team is 'cause I didn't have enough time, with school and homework and music and all? Well... I also didn't really like swim team. >>;; I mean, I love SWIMMING... I always will. <3 But I just didn't like swim team itself. That's why I was kinda weary about coming today.
But, you know... after a whole year, it actually felt good to get back in the water. <33 And even some part of me feels like... it was good to finally push myself once again. It has been SO LONG since I last actually got extremely physically tired! And for some strange reason, that felt... good. It felt good for my body to feel like it was dead. o.o I think it was like Anna (online Anna, not IRL Anna) once told me... "Well, you're the athletic type.. your body is made to do those sort of things". Haha, well, I'm not so sure about that... (I have some type of muscle tissue dissorder) but I guess it just felt good to get into it again, since I had been on a swim team since 2nd grade but after years of doing it, suddenly had to quit.
And you know what the best part is after a long day of extreme exercise? Returning home after it all and feeling absolutely exhausted, but also more relaxed than ever. :'DDD

THE DEATH NOTE AND DEATH NOTE 2 LIVE-ACTION MOVIES! BWAHAHAHA! >D
*coughness* Yeah... like the anime, I watched both of the live-action movies online. XD;;
Here's a copy pasta of part of an e-mail I sent to Mitsuko ranting about them, and also comparing them to the anime:
I plan to see that Death Note live-action movie spin-off, "L: Change the World" soon too. ^^
- Mood:

It has begun.
The transformation. The war. The... whatever you want to call it.
The dreaded cleaning of Kitten's room.
In order to make it actually CLEAN, and to make it somewhat of a room I actually want to stay in, (usually I only go in my room to change and to sleep, absolutely nothing else) I have now forced myself to actually start throwing stuffeh away instead of just moving it.
DAY 1 - 6/3/08
Stage #1 - Cleaning out the first set of clothes drawers: For this, I brought up HUUUGE garbage bags to put old clothes that don't fit me anymore into, so we could give them to charity. There's a reason I never touch these drawers - they're FULL of clothes I haven't worn since, like... my begining elementary school years. Probably even preschool. o.o;; I mean, there were even tons of pairs of socks with frills on them... FRILLS!! o_0 Yuckeh. XP Well, ended up just by clearing out all the clothes that didn't fit me alone, I was able to fill up FOUR whole huge garbage bags. Afterwards, I organized the clothes that do fit me into the drawers.
Stage #2A - Cleaning out the clothes in my closet: I call this "2A" 'cause this is only the first in a series of stages that have to do with cleaning out my closet. >:3 In my closet were dozens of clothes hangers with many more clothes for me to sort through. Again, almost all of them last fit me back when I was still five, so I continued to put more clothes in the many garbage bags I had brought up. In the end, I decided only to leave my dressy clothes on the clothes hangers in there... including my show chior costume, just in case I might need it in the future. (my pink poodle skirt, since we had a 50's theme going on XD) I then decided to put my jackets and hoodies in there, since there isn't any room for them in the clothes drawers I mentioned previously. So after doing all this... also left was a little over a hundred clothes hangers. o_0 What their fate shall be... who knows...
Stage #2B - Cleaning out the crates in my closet: There are about three crates all on their side on the floor of my small closet, for the purpose of holding books. I had to clean out all the old picture books I hadn't looked at since elementary school and put them in bags to be either given to my little cousins/donated/thrown away. I then I had organize the books I DID want to keep... I kept the few picture books and very-easy-reading small chapter books in the first crate for sentimental reasons, and in the second crate I kept the chapter books I do I want to keep, (like the three Twilight books and some Series of Unfortunate Events books) and in the third I kept the anime magazines and all the manga I have. This whole stage took a VERY long time. After all this time, leftover were my 6th and 7th Harry Potter books (which are just too darn big to fit inside those crates) and all my Pokemon and Zelda videogame guidebooks. I plan to put the big Harry Potter books in a certian place inside my closet once I'm done cleaning the rest out... as for my guidebooks, I plan on putting them in my bed drawers eventually... But beware, this is NOT the end of the closet stages! O.O
Stage #3 - Cleaning out the drawers in my bed: My bed does not have an "under"... it sits flat on the floor. But it does have three drawers. In the third one, I found... *GASPETH* more clothes that didn't fit me that I had to put in garbage bags! XP In the second drawer was tons and tons of papers and folders from past school years. TONS. I put it all in a garbage bag to be thrown away. It was amazing to see how incredibly beat-up my old expandable folder from 6th grade was. o.o;; Underneath the many layers of papers in that second drawer, and also completely in the first drawer, remained old toys I used to play with when I was a little kid. Remote-controlled electronic cats, marbles, little smiley face erasers, bits of random stuffeh I received from goodie bags at birthday parties, etc. I put them all in a garbage bag, and then put all the shoeboxes in the basement for my sister so she can use them later for organizing. Afterwards, all three drawers were completely empty... it looked pretty amazing. o.o;; I plan to make good use of these three drawers for the stuffeh I do care about. :3
So, yepyep... this isn't over yet... this ISN'T OVER YET!! >D Oh yeah, and I've always known I had a vent in the ceiling of course, but... I never knew there was as second floor in one of my walls! Wowzers. o.o;;
*coughness* So anyways... guess what my mom announced to me today?
"I've signed you up for the local YMCA"s swim team! Your first day is tomorrow. :'D"
........................
WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?! O__________________O XDDDDDDDDDDDDD;;
I haven't swam on a swim team since July of '07! I don't even know if my one-piece swimsuit fits anymore. o.o;; I dunno if my googles are still broken or not, I dunno if I can even find them, I dunno if I can even find my swim cap... ohgawsh, what if I've completely forgot how to get a swim cap on?! XD;; And worst of all... what if I jump into that pool tomorrow and try to swim, but find out I can't? o_0 I mean, really, I haven't swam for almost a year!
My mom signed me up 'cause I had to quit swim team when school started 'cause I was too busy, and then after I had gym during the first half of the school year, I didn't have any gym for the second half, so ever since January I haven't been getting enough proper exercise... and since it's summer, now I have the time. She says swim practices are Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and the swim meets are Wednesdays. She said that even though swim team already started, it's okayness that I'm joining late.
I TOLD her I was okayness with just going to the YMCA's pool whenever I felt like it and swimming laps there for exercise over the summer, but... she doesn't believe me when I tell her I really will swim as many laps as I can and work hard. She just thinks I'll free swim. I won't, I'll work hard! ><;; But she doesn't believe that, so she signed me up for the swim team...
Ahh, who knows what will come from this... this will be interesting. @_@
Speaking of swimming, I called Maddie today on the phone and we talked for about half an hour... :'DDD She mentioned how earlier this week, she went swimming in this outside pool and had a lot of fun. She said that next time we should go together. ^^ That would be fun, just free swimming with Maddie! But, I think I need to get a new bikini first.. >>;;
Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and my whole left eardrum EXPLODED. O.O;; Well, not really... XDDDDDD;; but it popped really badly or something. I dunno. But after that the inside of my left ear was really hurting, and if I swallowed it would hurt and pop more. I was afraid something serious had happened. >>;; It took a long time for me to fall back asleep 'cause of the pain, (and then I got very close to getting a charlie horse cramp in my leg o.o) but eventually I did... but when I woke up, my left year STILL hurt. ><;; But after awhile it eventually got better. ^^ My mom thinks it might be allergies or something. o.o

I was meaning to type up most of this in my previous entry, but I didn't have time. ^^;; So yeah... guess what I got as graduation presents on Saturday?! A Zune and the boxed set of the whole Fruits Basket anime! :'DDD
Haha, I love my Zune. <3 It's my first MP3 player! Well, sorta... I used to have this tiny one, but it could only hold up to twelve songs. XDDDDD;; I got to choose the Zune myself... I chose a red (<3) 8GB. The 30GB and 80GB are too big for my liking... besides, I very much doubt I'm going to have THAT many songs/pictures/videos!! XDDDDDDD The 8GB itself can already hold up to 2,000 songs, so I don't think I'll even have to worry about not having enough space. Actually, I was supposed to get just the 4GB one, but my parents surprised me and bought the 8GB instead! ^^
I've already got 56 songs and 12 pictures on there, after deleting the default songs and picture it already had. I made one of the pictures my backround already... it was a photo of me that my sister took without my knowing, of me looking out into the distance of this huge scenic nature landscape at this lighthouse we visited at one of the islands along the coast of North Carolina last summer. I appear pretty small and my back is facing the camera 'cause my sister took it while she was at the lighthouse while I was on this boardwalk type thingy, but for being a candid shot, I quite like it. <3
My dad and I are having a hard time getting videos on the Zune, though. >>;; The first video I've been trying to get on there is Potter Puppet Pals and the Mysterious Ticking Noise, by the way. XDDDDDDD
And then... there's the boxed set of the Fruits Basket anime series. :3 See, a couple weeks ago, I got enough stamps on my orthodontist card to get a $25 giftcard for Best Buy, so that's what I got. When I went there one day, I found out they had the boxed set of the Fruits Basket anime... but it was $50. So my dad made a deal with me... he said he'd pay for the extra $25, except that I could only receive the boxed set as a graduation gift after school was over, not now. So I agreed. :3 So, teh yayness of it all... I have the boxed set of both the Azumanga Daioh and the Fruits Basket anime series! :'DDD
I FINISHED THE DEATH NOTE ANIME SERIES TWO DAYS AGO! 8D There were 37 episodes in all. That was a pretty amazing series. <3 I can't wait to start the manga. ^^
Though... I'm getting more and more nervous about the huge possibility my dad my actually rent the Death Note DVDs for him, me, and my sister to watch at home. Seriously though... they have never watched an anime as dark and dramatic as this one. (But the plot. Is. AMAZING.) @_@ But it's not so much them as... my mom that I'm worried about. I mean, she walked into the room one day as my sister and I were watching Fruits Basket, (my dad doesn't like Fruits Basket 'cause it's too girly for him, but my sister likes it a lot) and at this moment Kyo was saying the words "pissed off" over and over again in something he was saying to Tohru, and my mom got mad and was all "I do NOT want to hear you two girls saying that word in this household, okay? >:3". >>;; Geeze, if she gets mad about a little cussing in an anime... what in the world will she think of the whole murder theme going on in Death Note if she's downstairs at the same time that we're watching it?! @_@ XDDDD;;
I plan on calling at least one of my friends today on the phone. It's only the first Monday of summer vacation and I already feel strange about the lack of IRL teenager communicaton. o_0
AHAHAHA, I keep using lyrics from "All Star" by Smash Mouth as my entry titles. XDDDDDDDD <3

Seriously though... I feel like today was the last day of school, like I'm already on summer vacation... yet I'm not. We still have a half day of school tomorrow. o.o;; And everybody is asking the same question - WHY?! o_0 XDDDDD
I mean, we completely cleaned out our lockers, and we're not allowed to bring anything at all to school tomorrow... not even our yearbooks. =0
Therefore, the majority of the yearbook signings were TODAY!! ^^
BEST. YEARBOOK. SIGNINGS. EVAH! <3333333333333333333
We switched around the schedule so that our Study Hall period was in the last period of the day instead of the third to last, and used that time for all of us 8th graders to all go outside so we could have whoever we want sign our yearbook. :3 And at the same time we ate popsicles! 8D
And guess what?! At one time, I gave my yearbook to just a group of people... and by the time I got it back, I looked in the back (there are blank pages in both the front and back for signatures) and guess what I found? SOMEBODY TAPED A QUARTER INSIDE!! A QUARTER!! BEST YEARBOOK MEMORY EVERRRR XDDDDDDDDDDD
/caps lock
Yeah... I went a whole fifteen minutes completely not knowing who did it, until eventually Kayleen told me that she reached into her pocket and found a quarter, so she randomly decided to take scotch tape and put it inside my yearbook. XDDDDD
Yearbook-ness:
# of friends who signed a message (not counting if they put more than one message): 57
Girls: 37
Boys: 20
# of teachers who signed a message: 3
# of quarters taped onto it: 1
# of pages used: 12
# of these pages completely filled: 9 (a few of these just had ABSOLUTELY HUGE handwriting, though XDDD)
# of raindrops that fell on it because it started raining outside: about 12
Indeedy, eventually it started raining, so all of us had to go and rush back inside the school so our yearbooks wouldn't get wet. XDDD ...So then, not helped at all by the humidity from outside, the 8th grade hallways became absolutely ROASTING. o.o;;
First favorite message: from Anna (see previous post)
Second favorite message: from Katie
"OMG Kayla.
You are so frikin' amazing.
Like seriously. You can always make me laugh. =) And I can always make you laugh. Well, anyone can make you laugh... buutt that's not the point! The point is that you are an awesomely amazing friend.
Can't wait to see you next year.
High School! Call me!
[her phone number, which I won't post online]

(have no cell.. yet =) ;-;)
~Katie"
Third favorite message: from Kristine
"KAYLA! is what everyone screams. Although your weird I still love you. It has been so fun this year and last year (stealing your stuff, teasing you). Dang I'm a real bully! Holy crap you just flipped Rosie off. Lolz
Death Note rules!
L 4ever ... and Light
<3 Kristine"
Haha, I did NOT flip Rosie off!! XDDDDDD (I'd never do anything like that. =0) See, while I was waiting for Kristine to finish signing my yearbook, Rosie was waiting for Kristine to finish so she could sign her yearbook... and since I was pretty hyper, I just randomly flicked out my hand so I could snap my fingers in front of Rosie's face (After years and years of trying, I finally taught myself to snap my fingers two weeks ago! :'DDDDD) so fast that she could hardly tell what I did. So then she was just like.. "Did you just flip me off? o.o" so I replied "NUUUUUU! O.O". XDDDDDDDD That silleh girl.
And YUS... Kristine is actually one of the very few people in my school who even knows what manga and anime is... and she loves Death Note too! :'D
Sooo, I ended up coming home absolutely EXHAUSTED... but I was also very happeh. <3 What also helped my happiness was the fact that it had been absolutely freezing yesterday, but today the temperature zoomed up 20 degrees or something so now it's amazingly warm! :'DDD (it's also very stormy)
Well, when I looked up the name and title of the song I used lyrics from for the title of my previous entry... see, it's a song I'm starting to really like, and I'm considering putting it on my list of songs I'd like to have. The more I listen to it the more I like it, so I think I will. <3 Well, only after looking it up did I realize that... the singer was the same singer as my favorite song evah, Anna Nalick! o.o <33 Haha, see, "Breathe (2AM)" always remains my one constant favorite song... I say "one", 'cause I always have either two or three favorite songs at a time, but it's the second song, and if I have one, the third song, that change over the course of a few months. For example, my second song that's my favorite at the moment is "Nine in the Afternoon" by Panic at the Disco. <33333 Not too long ago it used to be "How Far We've Come" by Matchbox 20. :3
So yeah... just a random interesting fact there. ^^ Here's the lyrics of this new song that I like, by Anna Nalick, called "Shine":
Oh the night makes you a star
And it holds you cold in its arms
You're the one to whom nobody verses 'I love you'
Unless you say it first
So you lie there holding your breath
And its strange how soon you forget
That you're like stars
They only show up when it's dark
'Cause they don't know their worth
And I think you need to stop following misery's lead
Shine away, shine away, shine away
Isn't it time you got over how fragile you are
We're all waiting
Waiting on your supernova
'Cause that's who you are
And you've only begun to shine
There are times when the poets and pornstars align and
You won't know who to believe in
Well that's a good time to be leavin'
And the past knocks on your door
And throws stones at your window at four in the morning
Well maybe he thinks it's romantic
He's crazy, but you knew that before
And I think you need to stop following misery's lead
Shine away, shine away, shine away
Isn't it time you got over how fragile you are
We're all waiting
Waiting on your supernova
'Cause that's who you are
And you've only begun to shine
Yeah you've only begun to shine
Won't you shine, shine, shine, shine over shadow?
Shine, shine, shine, shine over shadow
Shine, shine, shine, shine over
And I think you need to stop following misery's lead
Shine away, shine away, shine away
Isn't it time you got over how fragile you are
We're all waiting
Waiting on your supernova
'Cause that's who you are
And you've only begun to shine
Yeah you've only begun to shine
Yeah you've only begun to shine
Yeah you've only begun to shine

I... have finished up to episode 28 now. *whistles innocently* XDDDDD;; Only three more episodes to go! I think I'll only be able to watch them next weekend, though. ;3
...............
B-BUT EPISODE 25... T___T
But now with some not-so-spoiler stuffeh... despite what I talked about in the LJ cut, one thing I'm really glad about now is... WHOOOO, Light is Kira again! :'DDD Haha, he makes for a pretty awesome villian, (I just don't like that nasty god complex he's got going on there... though, I suppose that's what makes him the villian he is.) but when all the villian-ness is sucked outta him, Light is a pretty lame character. XDDDDDDD;;
Haha, also... I'm amused to find that almost every single Death Note fan out there is also a big fan of L, just like me. XDDDDD Haha, almost all the comments to the episodes I was watching were full of "LOLZ AT L DURING 4:23-4:56" and "L IS SO SMURT!!!!!!1!!" and "L IS SO AWSUM!!!!11!!!" and whatnot. And as time went on there were even comments like "Well, I started off absolutely hating L... but now I think I've grown to love him. o.o". XDDD
Meh, it's more interesting when you really like a character that not nearly as many other people like, but hey, I guess that just proves how awesome L really is. XD;;
There'll only be one more post ranting about the Death Note anime after this, once I finished the last few episodes most likely next weekend. I promise! XD;;
And in conclusion of this current rant, and with the reminder that Light is the name of a character, I shall now post another quote of awesomeness:
Misa: I would never dream about living in a world without Light!
L: Yes, that would be dark..
- Mood:
obsessive
I had heard a ton about it and how it's supposed to be really good and such, so I decided to watch it online for myself. (I watched the first two episodes in japanese with english subtitles, then decided to watch the rest in english so I could look at the whole thing instead of constantly having to draw my eyes to the bottom to read. :3) I watched one right after another.
And I'd like to take this moment to say... THIS SERIES IS ABSOLUTELY AMAZINGGG!! O_________O;; <3333
And you know what's almost as amazing as this series? One of the characters in it named L. :'DDDDDDDDDD
No, seriously. I'm absolutely hooked. @_@ I really want to watch more, (So far I've watched the first 10 and I think there's... 31 episodes? I'm not absolutely sure.) but I know I should be going to bed now. XDDD;; And plus... I know I'll be sad once I finish the series. T_T
It's also sorta sad that I can't watch this with my family... (well, my dad and sister, at least... my mom doesn't like anime) 'cause I know they'd enjoy the plot and everything, but it's also a very dark and evil anime, really, so I don't think they'd like that aspect of it. Especially my sister wouldn't like that. ^^;;
L is EXTREMELY high on my list of favorite fiction characters!! o.o;; :'DDDDDDD Hmm... I'd say.. my 2nd favorite fictional character. ^^ YOU HAVE SOME COMPETITION, SEVERUS SNAPE!! >D
"*points finger* Bang!"
"What the hell was that?!"
....Epic moment! XDDDDDDDDD Especially the quote in the title of this entry. Since this anime is so dramtic and dark, it has little humor, but during the rare times it does, it's so much awesomeness.
This series is so amazing! L is such an amazing character! Ohgawsh... goodnight everybody. I'm think I'm going to have a very hard time falling asleep tonight!! XDDD

(No, seriously. I quite enjoyed talking about the whole History textbook thingy farther down in the middle of this entry. XDDDDD)
You know the whole thing with Maddie having to move on Saturday 'cause her mom kicked her out of her house?
Well, ends up she's not moving.
Just today I found out from Kattie that Maddie just made up the whole part about being kicked out and having to move, and I'm the only one she hasn't told the truth to yet. Maddie was just joking.
><;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Okayness... now that was a REALLY REALLY mean joke. T___T Enough to get me depressed enough to rant about it in an LJ entry... and even rant about it to my MOM! >>;; (She noticed I was feeling depressed yesterday when she was driving me home from school. She's really good at being able to tell when I'm not feeling myself.)
Maddie doesn't know that I know the truth yet. And yet.. I'm still acting as friendly to her as always. Haha, me and my complete lack of anger! XDDD;; I guess even somebody like me that rarely ever becomes upset would probably be upset with Maddie in a situation like this, since it was a pretty cruel joke, but... I'm too relieved and happy that she's not moving to be upset with her! XDDDDD
MADDIE'S NOT MOVING MADDIE'S NOT MOVING TEH YAYNESS OF IT ALLLLLL!!! :'DDDDDDDDDD
*breathes a big sigh of relief* ^^
Though, the whole part about her getting into a big fight with her mom and the stuffeh with her dad's stuff and her mom's rings WAS true. She just plain doesn't get along with her mom. >>;;
But as for the made-up part about her mom kicking her out and her having to move.....
.....Either she's a really good actress, or I'm just incredibly gullible like that. XDDDDDDDDDDD;;
......................
It was still a mean joke, though. ;-;
So anyways, moving on to more light-hearted stuffeh. :3
You can REALLY tell the school year's almost over now. o.o;; I mean, in the past two or three weeks people have been happeh and all "Just a couple more weeks left before we're outta here! ^^". But now instead of counting down the weeks, people have been counting down the school days. (5 1/2 more school days! XD) In a lot of our classes we have had to turn in our big textbooks that we've had all year, which sprays a TON of end-of-the-school-year-ness in the air. So far the only textbooks I haven't had to turn in yet are my Spanish and Science textbooks. But nuuuuu, that doesn't mean we haven't still been getting homework... instead of getting assignments out of the book, we just get worksheets instead. XD;;
TEXTBOOK STORY TIEM! XDDD
Today we turned in our History textbooks. I was sorta dreading this day 'cause my history textbook is so incredibly beat-up. XDDD;; See, when we first get our textbooks during the first week of school, we're supposed to fill out a card with our name and the book number and any damage that's already been inflicted on the textbook. (Most of them are used, but occasionally they'll be brand new.) Then at the end of the school year when we turn them all in, depending on how much damage has happened to the textbook since we've owned it that wasn't already there, you might be charged a fine. Last year in 7th grade when I had Ms. A for a Spanish teacher [who was also insanely evil and would spend lessons lecturing us on how we should all become vegetarians because we kill too many animals, and would cackle evily at the ceiling if we disagreed with her], she charged us a dollar for every BENT EDGE. o.o;; There was literally nobody in that class who didn't owe her anything. (I owed her two dollars. XD;;)
Well, my History book... partly because it was my oldest used textbook of the year, having been used by three other people for three other school years before me, and also partly 'cause it's my second-largest textbook... was pretty crippled. XDDD;; It was also the only textbook where we were required to use a paper bag as the book cover. (for all our other textbooks you had the choice of using a paper bag as a cover, or using those stretchy book covers you can buy at stores) Well, since I'm not very good at cutting out paper bags so that they make perfect book covers, mine got ripped and was basically just plain falling apart throughout most of the second half of the year, and even before that. But I didn't want to make a new cover for it, (I had doodled and whole ton on the cover about the scores of the local highschool's football games that me and my friends would party at almost every Friday afternoon during the first half of the year) so I just took booktape to patch up the large rips and holes. XDDD;; Well, in order for the book cover to stay on, this also involved me taping up the part on the inside of the front cover and the inside of the back cover... which, I find out months later, turned out to be a pretty bad mistake. o.o;;
So here I am in my History class, as we're all taking the paper bag covers off our textbooks. My textbook alone already has a page ripped out that had to be taped back in, all the corners bent, all the edges bent, and a almost completely broken spine. By this time, my paper bag cover practically has more tape than actual paper bag, so its hard enough to take the book cover off since I have to rip it off. (unlike everybody else who had NORMAL paper bag covers, who managed to take their's off just by sliding them off XDDD) And then when I got to the parts where there was paper bag taped to the inside of the front and back actual covers of the book... *RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP!* went both parts of the inside of that book when I was taking the tape off. o_____o I was all "NUUUUU I'M JUST DESTROYING IT MOOOOAAAAR O____O" while my friend Tarun who sits behind me in History just watched with an amused expression on his face. XDDD Well, since I decided taking the tape off those parts wasn't such a great idea, I went and ran for scizzors to cut the rest off that was attached to the paper bag. But the rest had to stay on the book. >>;;
So then, imagine this: Mrs. F starts calling people to come and turn in their textbooks. She's not going in alphebetical order or by order of seats... just the order that she finds the cards in, so you don't know when you're going to be called. You watch as she inspects all the books closely, and even hands some people the dreaded yellow slips of paper that mean you owe her money for damaging your book. She hasn't called you yet. But she's calls your friend Tarun who sits behind you. When Tarun comes back, he's holding a yellow slip of paper... he owes her $8.85. Uh-oh... your book is in much worse condition than his was! How much money will YOU owe her?! You wait, nervous, as people keep getting called up... but ends up your card must be pretty low in the pile, 'cause you haven't been called yet and almost every else HAS been called. Or maybe your card isn't low, and she's just saving you for last 'cause she knows your guilty and panicking inside... after all, because of the seating arrangement, you have to sit in the front row everyday... though you sit in the far right corner against the wall. But still, it's easy for her to watch you hyperventalating 'cause you've committed homicide on your textbook...
Me: OHGAWSH... I'm probably going to owe her fifteen dollars or something. >>;; How it would sound for me to come home to my parents and be all "O HAY, I need to bring fifteen dollars to school because I pretty much accidently destroyed my history textbook. ^^;;"? That's even more than we pay for fieldtrips! o.o;;
Tarun: I doubt you'll owe her THAT much. XDD
Me: Hm, yeah, maybe you're right. What about... ten to twelve dollars?! XD;;
Tarun: Yeah, that sounds about right. ;D
Me: I'M BEING SUED TWELVE DOLLAHS TODAY!! ;-;
Tarun: "Sued"? XDDD
Me: Fined. Whatever. XD
Tarun: ...Wanna make a bet on that? 8D
Me: Nuuu, I'll probably need all my money for the fine!! o.o;; XDDD
And then... the dreaded moment happens. "Kayla!", Mrs. F calls. Tarun bids you farewell, and you slowly walk up clutching your crippled textbook to go and meet your doom.
You set your textbook on the table in front of Mrs. F and back away two steps, your hands clutching your face in preperation for any exclamation of shock Mrs. F might have in discovering all the damage. Over in the corner that you're assigned to sit in, Tarun is grinning at the expression on your face, waiting to see how much you'll be fined. Mrs. F picks up the textbook and starts examinating it with a strange expression on her face. She easily finds the page that was ripped out that you had to tape back in, because it sticks out more than the other pages. "That was already ripped out and taped back in when I got it." you tell her, which is the truth. She doesn't say anything. Because you want to make a good impression, you tell her "...And I made it even better than before, too. I, uh, put even more tape on it! :D", which is also the truth. "I can seen that." she replies, running a finger over it... and then she examines the tape on the inside of the front and back covers along with the rips there, which all occured just that day. She passes over them quickly. It takes you a moment to realize... that she thinks those rips and tape were originally there too, even though they weren't!
But then, lastly... she closely examines the almost completely broken spine. She runs a finger over all the threads that are coming out. Both you and her know that the broken spine is something new, something that's your fault. The atmosphere is suddenly tense, and Mrs. F gives you one of those looks that only Mrs. F can give...
Mrs. F: -___- .....
Me: T_T ;-; .....?
And then... She hands you back your textbook and tells you to put it back on the shelf. She doesn't even give you a yellow slip of paper.
AAAAUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH O__O;; :'DDDDDDD XDDDDDDDDDDDD
I have absolutely NO idea how I managed to get out of that one... but you could imagine the shocked/outraged expression on Tarun's face when I came back with absolutely no fine even though my textbook was in worse shape than his, while meanwhile, he had a $8.85 fine. XDDDDD
Monday was my last day of band for the school year... for middle school, really. And jazz band's over for the school year too. It's sorta sad. T_T Mr. M is so awesome... I'll miss having him as a band director once I'm in highschool. =\
I'm so glad I was part of the jazz band experience this school year. ^^ (I auditioned to play piano in teh jazz band in 6th and 7th grade too, but I didn't make it... two 8th graders made it both of those years.) Not only was it very fun to play jazzy/rock-ish music on the piano, which was a nice break from all the classical music I've been playing in my piano lessons, but I also made a lot of new friends... whom were all in 7th grade! XD <3 (Besides me, there's only about three others in jazz band who are 8th graders. There are about two that are 6th graders, and all the rest are 7th graders.) I'm especially sad that jazz band is over for the school year, since I probably won't be in a jazz band next year with it being my first year in highschool and all.
From Katie's orchestra teacher, I got piano sheet music for the song "My Immortal" by Evanescence!! Soooo pretteh. ^^ <333
And I shall now end this entry with this: Today my math teacher suggested that I dye rainbow highlights in my hair for the last day of school. o.o "Because you're always so sunshiney... so now you need a rainbow!" XDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

For this one I didn't get as big of a percentage in the "Feeling" category as I usually do. (In the actual Myers-briggs test, I got 100% in that category! XDD;;)

Last night, I performed with the rest of the jazz band in the local highschool's Swing Night that happens once a year! ^^ Swing Night is where live jazzy music is performed, and people can dance to it... highschoolers, adults, little kids, you name it. It's mostly highschool jazz bands that perform the music for the Swing Night, but they let a few middle school jazz bands do it too.
Our performance time was was from 8:30pm to 9pm. Since I play teh piano in jazz band, (it's in regular concert band that I play clarinet, since jazz bands don't have a clarinet section) so I didn't have to bring anything with me... (our band director was the one who brought all of our music for us) but I did have to make sure to dress up right. Our band director told us it was up to us to go with whatever theme we wanted. All the saxophonists wore their jazz band T-shirt that one of them made a couple of in an Industrial Tech class, and so did a few trombonists. The rest of the trombonists and all of the trumpeters wore all black... and the trumpeters even wore sunglasses. XDDD The drummers decided to go for an all-black look too. When I suggested we (me and the second pianist) do the same thing, Sydney told me, "But I don't have any black pants! ^^;; I have white pants though... I can wear white capris and a black shirt. What about you?" so then I told her "But I don't have WHITE pants! ^^;;" XDDD;; So, as the two single pianists, we decided to go reverse... she'd wear white pants and a black shirt, and I'd wear black pants and a white shirt! :'D It worked out quite nicely. ;D
Luckily for Sydney and I, they did have two pianos. One of them was a small electric keyboard... and the other was a GRAND PIANO! :'DDD <333 We decided to switch them on and off every song, since the person playing the small electric keyboard was at a major disadvantage, 'cause it was so small that it didn't even have all of the keys. o.o;; During one particular song we were playing that was two pages long, I was playing at the small electric keyboard... and found out that when we got to the second page, Sydney had put the second page to a different song with the first page to the right song! o.o;; So I had to rifle through the pages of music behind it, but I still couldn't find it. So then I had to search all the music tossed to the ground, otherwise known as the songs we had already played, which she had made completely disorganized. XDDD;; By the time I found the correct second page, the pretty much over. XDDDDDD;;
But other than that, performing at Swing Night went really well! ^^
